New Features

• Match Centre: track your team's actual matches and results, not just plan sessions. Log competitions (leagues and cups), fixtures, and your own and other teams' results to keep a full league table.
• Match Centre: a live match tracker - start the match, sub players in and out, log goals, end each half, and finish full-time, all in real time on the touchline.
• Match Centre: playing time per half is tracked automatically as you make substitutions, no stopwatch needed, with a manual override if you need to correct it.
• Match Centre: log goals, assists, and Player of the Match; a Player Stats tab and a compact "matches this season" line on each player's Player Development page; a playing-time fairness warning so you can see if a player's minutes are falling behind their squad-mates.
• Match Centre: generate a match report (PDF or Word) for a single match, or a season's worth as one downloadable zip. Squad and availability management for each match, including a snapshot of that day's Set Piece roles.
• Match Centre: soft delete and Recently Deleted support for matches and competitions, same as everywhere else in the app; import opponents and fixtures in bulk from an Excel spreadsheet, with downloadable templates; Home now shows your next fixture at a glance.
• Cloud Sync: keep your whole library in step across your devices, through a folder your own Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive already syncs - OnTheGrass never hosts or uploads your data itself. A guided two-step setup, automatic background checking with no button-press needed, and a plain-language status line on Home that always tells you whether it's safe to switch devices.
• Cloud Sync: only new or changed photos are sent between devices, not your whole library every time, and every sync question names your actual devices rather than a technical ID. Handles large photo libraries reliably, and has clear handling for a genuine conflict, an older app version on one device, a corrupted sync file, and a first sync that's going to take a while.
• Cloud Sync: new Administration tools - "Optimise existing images" shrinks older, oversized photos already in your library; "Remove unused image files" cleans up orphans left behind by past edits; a Cloud Sync activity log in Diagnostics for the last 30 days.
• Customise your bottom navigation bar: choose which sections show (up to 4 on a phone, all 8 on desktop) and drag to reorder them.
• Tactics Board: choose Full Pitch or Half Pitch (zoomed in on one end - better for showing an attacking-phase or finishing scenario in detail); the board now makes proper use of a wide desktop window and redraws correctly if you resize the window or rotate your phone.
• A brand-new Individual Development Review now starts with any still-open targets carried forward from that player's last completed review, and a completed review can be duplicated as a new Draft for a quick correction or restatement.

UI/UX Enhancements

• The User Manual has been redesigned: an icon-labelled jump-to-section grid, a search box, collapsible sections, works fully offline, and a back-to-top button on long scroll. Added a Find on this page tool (Ctrl+F, or Cmd+F on Mac) for quickly searching long screens.
• Buttons are now properly sized for touch on a touch-screen Windows tablet or laptop, not just phone.
• Match Centre: "Goal for" and "Goal against" are now clearly different colours and spaced apart, to prevent mistapping mid-match; renamed "Walkover" to "Forfeit" everywhere it appears.
• Administration now lays its tools out in two columns on a desktop window, each with an icon and arrow.
• Add Fixture guides you if a competition has no opponents yet, instead of a blank dropdown.
• Archive buttons now look like the reversible action they are, instead of looking like a permanent delete.
• "Add new" buttons are now in the same place across every list screen.
• Session Plan's pitchside Script View shows just the plan and the two actions you need mid-session.
• The License/Trial screen now matches the rest of the app's look, including dark mode.
• A narrow window's top navigation shows a scroll hint when a section is scrolled out of view.
• Tables wider than your screen (Match Centre's fixtures list, Import/Export previews) now show a scroll-edge shadow.
• The Season Calendar shows a dot for a single light day and one connected band for a multi-day break week.
• On a phone: fixed sideways scrolling, the bottom nav overlapping the last line of a screen, and the bottom nav briefly flashing every possible section before settling on your chosen ones.
• The 7 Import/Export template/sample download buttons guard against a fast double-tap.
• Principle Coverage's explanation now makes clear its counts are a library-wide total across all four Categories combined.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed Cloud Sync silently re-uploading a whole photo library on some devices instead of only new photos.
• Fixed a phone-side sync file write that could leave a corrupted file behind if interrupted partway through.
• Fixed a photo's orientation sometimes being lost when downsizing it on an older phone.
• Fixed Cloud Sync reporting a device's data as "unavailable" if your cloud provider forked its sync file into a conflicted copy.
• Fixed restoring a backup (including a Cloud Sync update) failing outright on a device with older match-day history.
• Cloud Sync no longer marks a device as having unsynced changes just from opening the app.
• Fixed reopening a live-tracked match not discarding its recorded goals and playing time along with the score.
• Fixed Import/Export's own preview tables having no way to scroll to a column that ran off a narrow screen.
• Fixed an edge case where permanently deleting (Purge) a Drill or Session Plan could destroy a still-live record with no Recently Deleted safety step.

New Features

• Added the Match Day Role Sheet: a Set Piece's roles can now auto-fill from today's Team Sheet on Match Day, with manual override any time.
• Player positions can now be recorded per player (multi-select), and imported/exported via the roster Excel template.
• Added Cloud Folder Sync: an opt-in way to keep your data in step across your own devices using a cloud folder you already have (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc), on desktop, Android, and iOS.
• Added "Rate Your App" on Android and iOS: leave an app store rating without leaving the app.

Bug Fixes

• Push Date Back is smarter and more reliable: later sessions now reschedule onto your real training calendar instead of a flat day shift, pushing onto an already used date moves things along automatically instead of blocking, and pushing onto a date with a logged reflection creates a reusable copy instead of touching your history.
• Fixed Generate Dates wiping out already played sessions' dates when re-run partway through a season.
• Fixed PDF and Print Friendly export failing on some diagram images.
• Reset Data now also permanently clears your player roster, not just Drills and Session Plans, with a clearer confirmation before you go ahead.
• Downloading and re-importing your own Drills, Session Plans, and Set Pieces now reliably keeps every field intact (Category, Drill Area, Tags, and several Set Piece fields could previously come back blank or wrong).
• Mobile: noticeably faster app launch.
• Plus a large number of smaller fixes and reliability improvements throughout the app from ongoing testing.

UI/UX Enhancements

• Mobile: a range of layout fixes (status bar overlap, more compact lists, tidier Home and Seasons screens).

• Added Set Pieces - a dedicated section for cataloguing Corner, Free Kick, Throw-in, Kick-off, and Goal Kick routines separately from your Drill library, with unlimited Variations per routine, Role Assignments (optionally linked to a real player), and a pitchside Match Day quick-reference grouped by Side and Type.
• Added Player Development - player profiles with Attendance tracking, Development Notes, Individual Development Reviews (IDR), a Squad IDR Overview, per-player rating trends, and optional player photos.
• Added multi-team support - manage more than one team from the same install, with Seasons and Session Plans scoped per team and a team switcher once you add a second one.
• Restructured navigation - Set Pieces and Player Development are now first-class Home tiles and nav items alongside Drills and Session Plans; Seasons and Tactics Board moved to a simpler secondary spot.
• Player rosters can now be imported and exported via Excel (or .csv), including a Player ID round trip so re-importing updates existing players instead of duplicating them, plus bulk archive/unarchive/delete.
• Diagrams across Drills, Progressions, and Set Piece Variations can now hold more than one image in sequence, each with its own caption, stepped through with View Sequence.
• Recently Deleted now also covers Drills and Session Plans, not just Development Notes and IDRs - anything accidentally deleted can be restored or permanently purged.
